  • Situation in Chicago

I will write a more extensive report later but I for now I would appreciate prayers for Annette's family. Pray that we will trust in the Lord through this complicated situation. Pray that God will allow this process to teach us many lessons about Him. Pray for physical, emotional, and spiritual strength.

Annette's dad is pretty much in bed 24/7 other than a few attempt to stand up. On good days he walks a few steps and back to his bed. He eats very little and can not talk too much.  We do thank God that the pain is gone.  The first month he was in a lot of pain but for the last few months he is not in that kind of pain.

Tough the situation is difficult I am so blessed by the dedication and love of Annette's family. I admire the love and the children have for their father and family. It is not easy here but I see Christ love being manifested. I am also very impressed by Paul's (Annette's brother) wife. She (Jina) is really like an angel when she takes care of her father-in-law. I am so impressed. It is really hard hard nursing work....very hard. But I see her taking care of her father-in-law with great love and devotion. I see this from the whole family but I get impressed the most by Jina and Paul.

Even in the midst of this difficulty the kids are enjoying their time with their cousins. Also, we have time to laugh and catch up on things. We actually got to see a movie. God is faithful through it all. Here is a picture of Jina and the two youngest boys.
